Is the free plan a trial?
No. One user can use up to 5 rooms for as long as they like.
What is a "team"?
Everyone with the same company email domain. For example, everyone with an @acme.com address is on the acme.com team, and one $199/year payment covers all of them. Subdomains count as the main domain: someone at sales.acme.com is on the acme.com team.
When do I have to pay?
Your team moves to Team ($199/year) when either of these happens:
- You create a 6th room. Unpublished and deleted rooms still count toward the 5.
- A second person joins your domain:
- You invite a teammate: the upgrade screen opens first. The invite email waits until payment succeeds, then goes out automatically. - A second person at your domain signs up on their own: they get an account but land on a paywall ("Your team at acme.com is on the Free plan (1 user). Upgrade for $199/year to add everyone."). Either of you can pay. Once paid, they're in.
How do I upgrade?
- Click Upgrade in the app. It also appears when you try to create a 6th room or invite a teammate. Or go to
https://buyerrooms.com/app/billing. - Pay by card at Stripe Checkout. Apple Pay or Google Pay may also be offered where available. Any tax that applies is shown at checkout before you pay.
- Room and user limits lift right away for your whole domain.
Invoices on payment terms, purchase orders, and bank transfers aren't available.
Why is it so cheap?
Stupidly low pricing is the point. Most sales room tools charge per seat, per month. For example, 5 reps × $45 per seat × 12 months = $2,700 a year. BuyerRooms is $199 a year for the whole team, whether you have 3 reps or 30.
The math is simple: if one room helps close a $200,000 deal, that's 1,000x what you paid. That's an illustration, not a promise of results.
How do teammates join?
Two ways, and neither needs owner approval:
- Auto-join by domain (Team plan): once your team is on Team, anyone who signs up at
https://buyerrooms.com/signupwith a work email at your domain joins automatically. The owner gets an automatic email when someone joins. - Invite: go to Team (
https://buyerrooms.com/app/team), click Invite teammate, and enter their work email at your domain.
Can I add someone with a different email domain (contractor, agency, sister company)?
No. Every user's work email must match the team's domain. Personal emails (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) can never be users.
My company uses more than one domain (acme.com and acme.co.uk). Is that one team?
No. Each email domain is its own team with its own $199/year plan. Merging teams isn't available at launch. A person can only belong to the team of the domain they signed up with.
Can teammates see each other's rooms and activity?
Yes. Every member can see every room on the team, and its activity, read-only. Only a room's creator and the team owner can edit, unpublish, or delete it.
What roles are there?
- Owner: the first user at the domain. Can invite and remove teammates, connect Slack, manage billing, transfer ownership (Team → Transfer ownership), and delete the team.
- Billing contact: whoever completed checkout (often the owner). Can open billing to update the card, download invoices, and cancel. The owner can always open billing too.
- Member: everyone else. Creates and edits their own rooms, and sees all team rooms read-only.
How do I remove a teammate?
The owner goes to Team and clicks Remove next to the person. Their rooms stay live and move to the owner.
How do I leave a team or delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account (https://buyerrooms.com/app/settings/account) → Delete my account. Your rooms stay live and move to the owner.
How do I delete the whole team?
The owner can delete the team. Everything is removed after a 7-day undo window.
How do I update my card or download invoices?
Go to Billing (https://buyerrooms.com/app/billing) and click Manage billing, which opens Stripe's billing page. Only the owner and the billing contact can open it.
How do I cancel?
- Go to
https://buyerrooms.com/app/billing. - Click Manage billing.
- Click Cancel plan.
You can cancel any time, yourself. There's no one to call and no cancellation fee.
What happens when I cancel?
- Your Team plan stays active until the end of the year you paid for.
- It won't renew, and you won't be charged again.
- There are no refunds, partial or pro-rated.
What happens when the paid year ends (after cancelling, or if payment fails)?
The team drops to Free:
- Users: only the owner can sign in to the builder. Other members see "Your team is on the Free plan. Upgrade to get back in."
- Rooms: the 5 oldest rooms (by creation date) stay live and tracked, and visitors notice nothing. Every other room is paused, not deleted. Its link still works but shows "This room is paused by {Company}", with no content and no tracking.
- No new rooms can be created, because Free's 5 are already used.
- Upgrading again un-pauses everything instantly, at the same links.
- Data: paused rooms, with all their content and activity, are kept for 365 days. The owner gets automatic emails 30 days and 7 days before anything paused is permanently deleted. Live rooms are kept as long as the account exists.
Do you offer refunds?
No. When you cancel, access continues to the end of your paid year.
How does renewal work?
The Team plan renews automatically every year at $199. Stripe emails the billing contact about 30 days before renewal, with a link to cancel.
What if a payment fails?
Stripe retries the card automatically for up to 14 days and emails the billing contact each time with a link to update the card. Access continues during those 14 days. If payment still fails, the plan ends and the team drops to Free (see above).
Who sends billing emails?
Receipts, renewal reminders, and failed-payment emails come from Stripe on BuyerRooms' behalf.
Can I get a discount, promo code, multi-year deal, or custom terms?
No. There's one price, $199 per year per domain, with no discounts, promo codes, multi-year deals, or custom contracts.
Do you fill in security questionnaires or sign DPAs or MSAs?
No. BuyerRooms doesn't fill in security questionnaires or sign custom DPAs or MSAs. The standard Terms (https://buyerrooms.com/terms) and Privacy Policy (https://buyerrooms.com/privacy) apply. What BuyerRooms can say about security:
- Rooms are private and kept out of search engines.
- All traffic uses HTTPS.
- Files are stored privately and shown through short-lived links.
- Room passwords are stored encrypted.
- Data is stored with providers in the United States. The subprocessor list is in the Privacy Policy.
BuyerRooms makes no SOC 2, ISO, HIPAA, or GDPR-certification claims.
