What is BuyerRooms? A private, branded room for each prospect with your videos, PDFs, images, and links, plus a two-way Files area. You see when they engage, who they shared it with, and what they care about most.
Is there a sample room? Yes: https://buyerrooms.com/r/sample.
Do my prospects need an account? No. They open your link (https://buyerrooms.com/r/{room-slug}) and pass the room's access step (by default, entering their email).
What can I put in a room? PDFs (including decks saved as PDF), images (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP), videos (up to 2 GB and 60 minutes), and links. Documents and images: 50 MB per file. See *02 Building a room*.
Can I upload PowerPoint, Keynote, or HTML decks? Not for in-room viewing. Export decks to PDF; tracking is then page by page (slide by slide). A .pptx can go in the Files area as a download. HTML decks aren't supported at launch.
Do YouTube or Vimeo videos play in the room? No. Add them as links. They open in a new tab and the click is tracked. Upload the video file if you want it to play in the room with % watched tracking.
Can prospects send files back? Yes. Every room has a two-way Files area (PDF, Office files, CSV, vCard, images; 50 MB per file). You get an email when they upload. You can optionally require a separate Files password.
Can I control who gets in? Yes, with one of four settings: Email entry (default), Approved emails only, Password, or Password + Google sign-in. See *03 Access options*.
Can visitors sign in with Microsoft? No. Microsoft sign-in isn't available at launch.
Can I see who my buyer forwarded the room to? Yes. Every visitor gives an email, so forwarded viewers show up by email in Activity and in your open alerts. In "Approved emails only" rooms, unlisted forwards are refused instead.
What do you track? Opens, views, time, PDF pages, video watched (25/50/75/95/100%), link clicks, and file uploads.
Do visitors know they're tracked? Yes. The entry screen says "🔐 Your activity in this room is shared with {Seller company}." It can't be turned off.
How do alerts work? An email to your work address when a prospect opens a room or uploads a file, plus a visit summary. You can turn each one on or off in Settings → Notifications. Slack alerts are optional.
Do I need Slack? No. Email alerts are on by default. See *05 Slack setup*.
What's the visitor update email? When you add content, visitors who ticked "Email me when new content is added" get an email shortly after.
Does it integrate with Salesforce or HubSpot? No. There's no CRM sync or CSV export at launch.
Is there a mobile app? No. Rooms work on phones and tablets in any modern browser. The builder works best on a computer.
Is BuyerRooms for conferences or events? BuyerRooms is built for sales rooms. It has no conference or event-specific features.
Signup and account
Can I sign up with Gmail? No. Work emails only. Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook.com, iCloud, and other personal or disposable addresses are rejected.
How do I sign up? At https://buyerrooms.com/signup, with your work email (magic link) or Google. No Microsoft sign-in at launch.
Do I need a credit card? No. A card is only needed when you upgrade to Team.
Can I book a demo or talk to sales? No. BuyerRooms is fully self-serve: no demos, no sales calls, no contact-sales. Sign up free and build a room. It's the fastest way to see it.
Can I talk to a person? No. BuyerRooms is self-serve. Ask the help assistant (the Help button, bottom-right on every page). If you reply to a BuyerRooms email, you get an automatic answer from the help assistant. Legal notices only: legal@buyerrooms.com.
Pricing and billing
How much is it? Free for 1 user and up to 5 rooms, with no time limit. Then $199 per year for your whole email domain, with unlimited users and rooms.
Is the free plan a trial? No. It never expires.
What triggers the $199/year plan? Creating a 6th room, or adding a second user at your domain (by invite or by their own signup).
Is it really $199 for the whole team? Yes. Flat, per email domain, whether you have 3 reps or 30. Stupidly low pricing.
Why is it worth it? If one room helps close a $200,000 deal, that's 1,000x what you paid. (An illustration, not a promise.)
How does that compare to per-seat tools? Most sales room tools charge $29–$160 per seat, per month. At $45 a seat, 5 reps cost $2,700 a year. BuyerRooms is $199 a year for everyone.
Are there any other charges? No per-seat fees, add-ons, or overage charges. Fair-use storage limits apply (Free: 500 MB + 1 hour of video; Team: 5 GB + 10 hours of video).
How do I pay? By card at Stripe Checkout (Apple Pay or Google Pay where available). No invoices on terms, POs, or bank transfers. Any tax is shown before you pay.
Can I cancel? Yes, any time: Billing → Manage billing → Cancel plan. Access continues to the end of your paid year.
Do you give refunds? No, not partial or pro-rated either.
What happens to my rooms after the paid year ends? The team drops to Free. Your 5 oldest rooms stay live, and the rest are paused (not deleted) and kept for 365 days. Upgrading again restores everything at the same links.
How do teammates join? On Team, anyone who signs up with your domain joins automatically, or the owner can use Team → Invite teammate.
Can teammates see each other's rooms? Yes, read-only. Only the creator and the owner can edit a room.
My company has several domains. One plan or several? Several. Each email domain is its own team with its own $199/year plan.
Discounts or promo codes? None. One price for everyone.
Privacy and security
Are rooms public? No. Rooms are private, kept out of search engines, and protected by your access setting.
Where are the Terms and Privacy Policy? https://buyerrooms.com/terms and https://buyerrooms.com/privacy.
Is BuyerRooms SOC 2 or GDPR certified? BuyerRooms makes no SOC 2, ISO, HIPAA, or GDPR-certification claims. Traffic uses HTTPS, files are stored privately behind short-lived links, room passwords are stored encrypted, and data is stored with US providers.
How can a visitor have their data deleted? At https://buyerrooms.com/your-data, confirmed with an emailed code. The seller is notified automatically.
How do I report a room? Use the Report this room link in the room's footer.
